Hi,

I am looking for a stain for my new cedar deck. Here are my parameters:

1. South Carolina (not near ocean).
2. full sun, southern exposure
3. Cedar
4. no known mold/mildew issues.
5. no previous stains.

My main concern is maintaining a nice cedar color. I want this thing to be looking sharp for decades to come. My second priority is ease of re-application...I know that stain needs to be re-applied periodically, I'd like to go as long as possible between re-applications, and I'd like the re-application process to be as easy as possible.

Thanks, and great site!
