It has to be tinted for UV protection from graying. If not, it will gray in months.

Thanks for the quick answer. I read over the product descriptions and all mention "semi-transparent" or "pigmented", which means to me that they add/change color. Is there a product that is just for protecting and sealing, not "staining" (adding/changing color)?

Hello,

I have a mahogany deck with a mix of older and new wood. I've replaced rotted pieces in stages over 25 years and am replacing a large portion now. I just want a good product to seal and protect the wood, not stain or color it.

Is there a recommended product for just protecting the wood from rot and color fading?
