No direct sun, 80 degree day, 40 percent humidity. I had excellent results with the cleaner/brightener RAD combination. The boards were three months old. I stained three hours after brightening; the boards were dry to touch, but not hot or warm. Despite my best efforts, and staining along the length of the boards with a deck pad, I ended up with lap marks. The stain seem to soak in so quickly I couldn't complete a 10 foot length of board with a single load of stain on the pad. I used the RAD semi-transparent stain in Natural. The entire 180 square foot porch had dried to touch in 2 hours. I plan to stain again in 10 months or so. (next Spring). Will the second coat even out the look? Is my only recourse to strip and start again?
