The Step 1 will help to remove the white streaks (oxidation) and the Step 2 will hopefully even it out. Leave the Step 2 on for 30 minutes so it really can soak in. You can use a pressure washer for this, but more as a rinsing tool. It will speed up the process.

Thanks for your help. I think I'll skip the power washer this time. You are thinking that the sodium percarbonate might clean off some of the bleach stain and the brightener may help even things out? No need for a stripper I imagine?

I believe the bleach caused this. We do not suggest bleach for this very reason. Might want to rewash with a sodium percarbonate deck cleaner and then brighten the wood. Look at Restore A Deck products.

Hi -

I have an Ipe porch that I prepped for staining using a bleach solution (1 part bleach / 3 part water), let it sit for about 15 and then power washed off. The wood now appears to have streaks on it. I'm not sure if this is due to inconsistent power washing , wood damage from power washer or perhaps was there all along. I used a power washer with a max 1600 PSI and tried to hold it about 6+ inches away from the porch. The light streaks do not appear to be "fuzzies". I tried sanding the lighter areas with 100 grit paper and it seemed to darken it a bit but hard to tell for sure.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Attached photos below.
