I haven't sealed the stain in yet. What if I applied a white-colored stain over it, do you think that might lighten it up? I stained some cedar T&G soffits and even though I tested the color on a sample and held them up to the area, the stain ended up looking darker than what I wanted. Is there an easy way to lighten the color of a stain?
