here it goes:

a)10 year old 800 sq. ft.cedar deck, in Northeast PA.
b)Last coat 3 years ago Sikkens SRD
c)Last 2 years acquired 2 Shepherds & seems they are very good in "sanding" my deck. Deck was peeling(yes it was prepped properly(3rd time in life of deck) and the dogs just finished it off this summer.

My conundrum:

Power wash,lightly sand/clean and re stain(TWP 1501 or Sikkens SRD)only to have the "sander team" start again(my thought),...or power wash and leave it alone..to weather and then finally replace with something that requires no stain, such as Composite decking(wife's thought).

Any input would be appreciated....running out of bucks.
