<li>5. Main Issues with Previous Stains -last one peeled after a year in the sunny spots . We layered on the stain very thick though. Our bad. <br /><br /></li>
<li>this year we tackled stripping, cleaning, sanding the deck. We added one coat of semi transparent stain. It’s the perfect color, I do not want it any thicker or more opaque. <br /><br /></li>
<li>question -can I , should I add a layer of clear transparent over the semitransparent for the extra wood protection? I do not want to add second coat of the semi-transparent. <br /><br /></li>
<li>behr water based products. <br /><br /></li>
<li>thank you for any advice. I googled a lot and couldn’t find exactly what I was looking for. </li>
