If you look at the top of the pic through the railing that is a new deck I am waiting to stain. Also my girlfriend painfully hand painted that railing front and back and more that is not in that pic

My question is besides cleaning any dust and debris from the old/new wood, does anyone reccomend a time frame to wait before applying stain?
