I have a cedar deck that was stripped, sanded, cleaned and stained last year using the TWP 1500 Series stain. At that time I only used one coat. I followed up with a second coat 6 weeks ago. When I applied the second coat I noticed the surface was a bit sticky, but I figured it would go away after some time. The area where I live has received a substantial amount of rain this year, and during a stretch of particularly wet weather, I noticed a black material appearing on the deck surface. It has continued to spread. I’m guessing this is some type of mildew? If so, what would you recommend using to clean and remove this? I don’t want to jeopardize the stain. I can provide pictures if that would help. Thanks
